'Appropriation' as Jung defines it, is the use of content from existing works of world-renowned artists such as Michael Angelo, Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, and applying his artistic stylisation to them to express his personal admiration he has for the great masters. In Thailand, 'Bu Cha Kru' is a concept of an embodiment of respect towards one's teacher, Jung conveys this concept perfectly with this series.
Jung is a neo-expressionism artist who is known for his playful style, vivid use of colours, and extremely loose brush strokes. In his works, Jung focuses on things that he holds dear and is affectionate towards, such as artists from the past that he respect, his loving parents, his religious beliefs, his childhood, and his hobbies.
